Peer Reviewed And Refereed Journal
Editorial Policies
International Journal of Surgery and Clinical Research (IJSCR) uses double-blind peer review process. When a manuscript is submitted to the journal, it is assigned to the Editor-in-Chief, who performs initial screening. Manuscripts that do not fit the journal’s scope or are not deemed suitable for publication are rejected without review. The Editor-in-Chief allocates each of the remaining manuscripts to an Editor, who handles peer review process. The Editor selects two appropriate reviewers to provide their assessment of the manuscript. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, reputation, and previous experience as peer reviewers.
The authors confirm that the submission is appropriate for the journal's scope, has not been published before, even partially, and is not being considered for publication elsewhere, is prepared in conformity with the journal's publishing ethics, is approved by all co-authors, corresponding author is authorized to handle any communication regarding the manuscript on other co-authors' behalf, complies with the journal's author guidelines regarding stylistic, bibliographic, and linguistic standards. Manuscripts that are not written in compliance with author guidelines or do not demonstrate a proficient use of the English language will not be eligible for full external peer-review process and for publication.
IJSCR journal is guided by COPE Guidelines, ensuring integrity and ethical standards in our editorial processes. However, we also prioritize our existing policies and principles, which encompass a commitment to academic rigor, fairness, and transparency.
The peer review process can be broadly summarized into following steps, although these steps can vary slightly between journals.
Manuscript Submission to IJSCR
The corresponding or submitting author submits the Manuscript to the IJSCR.
This is usually via an online submission and editor mail id: editor@ijscr.info
Occasionally, IJSCR may accept submissions by E-mail: editor@ijscr.info
Reviewers should be experts in their fields and should be able to provide an objective assessment of the manuscript.
Our policy is that reviewers should not be assigned to manuscript if:
1. The reviewer is based at the same institution as any of the co-authors.
2. The reviewer is based at the funding body of manuscript.
3. The author has recommended the reviewer.
4. The reviewer has provided a personal (e.g. Gmail/Yahoo/Hotmail) email account and an institutional email account cannot be found after performing a basic Google search (Name, Department and Institution).
Authorship
Manuscript should be submitted for consideration once consent is given by all contributing Authors:
The list of authors should include all those who can legitimately claim authorship. This is all those who:
1. Made a substantial contribution to the concept or design of the work or acquisition analysis or interpretation of data.
2. Drafted the Article or revised it critically for important intellectual content.
3. Approve the version to be published
Acknowledements
All Contributors who do not meet the criteria for authorship should be listed in an Acknowledgements section.
Example of those might be Acknowledged include a person who provide purely technical help or a Department chair who provide only general support.
As Per Recommendations - ICMJE Guideline for URM It is best practice to obtain consent from non Author contributors who are Acknowledgement in Your Article.
